My DS Game Collection

Grew larger by 66.67% this week. ^o^ Picked up Mario Hoops 3-on-3 and Cooking Mama.

I went to look for Mario Hoops on Monday during lunch because most sites listed a 9/11 launch date - Big Liar! I couldn't find it anywhere till the next day. The game itself is pretty fun to play - assuming you can get past the first hour or so. I found this pretty amazing because most game, you tend to know whether you like it or now in the first 30 - 60 minutes. The first hour I played Mario Hoops, I actually felt kinda boring. One reason might be that I actually went through all the training before I did my first tourney. The other possibly because the Mushroom Cup wasn't too challenging. Once I got past these entry levels, things really started picking up and it's now getting quite addictive. My rating on this game? 7.5 on Tue/Wed -> 8.5

Cooking Mama - a fun game consists of multiple mini-games about...cooking meals. Kind of an impulse buy since it's only $19.99. I would recommend it if you are looking for something quick to play for a couple minutes. This is a game I would play when I need to take a quick break from writing codes at work. The play style is interesting but sometimes get repetitive. A total of 76 menu to choose from with the possibility of combining two dishes to make new ones (Broiled rice with Pizza, anyone?)

Mii is Wii-lly excited...

kakakaka... i couldn't resist.

So the Big-N has finally released the price and date for the Wii. Arriving in the States on Nov 19th for $249.99. The price's a bit higher than what I expected (~$229), but wouldn't prevent me from getting on that day. Konphused, on the other hand, has some reservations - perhaps I can drive him to get a DS Lite then? Hohohoho...

Also need to plan what games/accessories I should get on launch day as well. The new Zelda is a must buy; probably would pick up Trauma Center as well (so I can skip the DS verison). The next question is whether to get any party game or not (Rayman or Wario).

One thing for sure, my November budget definitely needs to be revised. =)
